As of January 14, 2020 Microsoft, Windows 7 will be end of Life -
I wanted to get straight to the point since this is an important change that will be occurring for any company who is using Windows 7.
What you should know, and why it’s important -
SECURITY –Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7; meaning security updates will no longer be applied to your computers running the software. This will make you and your business more vulnerable to hackers trying to gain access to your network and exploit your data.
HIPAA – For medical practices, hospitals or any company required to comply with HIPAA guidelines, you are required to upgrade your systems. Failure to do so will result in fines from the Office for Civil Rights.
UPDATES – Similar to the problem of not receiving security updates, the same will apply with your management software and other applications used by your company on a daily basis. Windows 7 will not support all software.
The Windows 7 end of life is something I'm preparing many companies for. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
