On Friday, March 31st, we will have our first collaboration with the Oakland County Bar Association for a medical/legal conference entitled, “The Power of Technology in the Physician Practice”. It will include discussions about Electronic Health Records, Telehealth, and Cybersecurity. This is a must attend event for physicians interested in optimizing their practice through technology, and for attorneys servicing the healthcare space. We have a phenomenal lineup of speakers from the healthcare, legal and technology professions, so make sure you register to attend.
On Tuesday, April 4th, we are bringing back Joe Mull, a national speaker and trainer on employee engagement in healthcare. He will be training our members and practice managers on “Feedback: How to be Heard, Help Others & Ignite Change.” This event is meant for anyone serving as a direct supervisor or responsible for handling performance management issues in the workplace.
In the fall of 2017, we have tentative plans to hosts two conferences: a physician wellness with the Oakland County Osteopathic Medical Association and a Survival Guide for Young Physicians. This conference will include important topics such as contracting, compliance, fraud & abuse, financial planning and more. Also, look for us to collaborate with the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan on events for our young physicians and practice managers.
We recently introduced a new website for our practices that we will be promoting more in 2017. It is called OCMS Medical Jobs and it will be used to help our practices find qualified candidates for any job openings they may have. Take a look at www.ocmsmedicaljobs.com.
Remember to keep an eye on our quarterly bulletin, digital newsletter, website, and mobile app for more information on any of our events and new offerings.
From myself and the OCMS Board of Directors, we hope you have a very happy holiday and best wishes for the new year!
