Board of Directors: OCMS maintains a Board of Directors with representation from around the county to serve as the fiduciary arm of the Society, as well as set the mission, agenda and strategic plan of the organization.

Delegation Committee: 38 delegate seats are granted to OCMS by MSMS to represent Oakland County Physicians at the annual MSMS House of Delegates. Physician delegates determine policy, procedure and allocation of resources for the Michigan State Medical Society. The Delegation Committee meets five times per year in the evening.

Editorial Board: Physician members of the Editorial Board provide quarterly editorials for publication in the OCMS Bulletin.

Legislative Committee: A committee comprising physicians who discuss legislative issues of interest to the physician community and the public. The committee meets both with and without state legislators.

Peer Review / Ethics Committee: A physician committee who reviews cases filed by physicians regarding another physician regarding alleged, unethical behavior against a peer. The Peer/Review Ethics Committee meets as needed.

Peer Review / Mediation Committee: A broad committee of physician specialists who review patient complaints alleging cases of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior by physician members of OCMS. The Peer/Review Mediation Committee meets quarterly.

Reimbursement Listserv: An on-line discussion group on topics affecting physician reimbursement issues with insurance carriers.
